Love

Love

A Poem by Silph Kazikawa

The feeling of being light enough to fly
The feeling of being pleasantly queasy
The feeling of being warm inside when you see or even hear that person’s name
That feeling
Do you know it?
Those are just a few explanations of the feeling of love
I’ve heard many
Maybe too many definitions for the word love
Because for some reason I can’t find it
For some reason I can’t hold it here with me
When I get it slips through my hand in a gloomy whisk of smoke
Gone…
Gone…
Gone…
I know if have another chance at it I’m sure I will fail
Because I am not strong enough to hold that smoke
Too lift that brick
Too speak those words…
I love you…
If I could I’d spend every waking moment of life looking into your eyes
If I could I’d spend all of my free time rubbing my hand through your hair
If I could I’d spend every minute of the hours of my life kissing your lips
Love…
If only speaking those words was that easy
If only speaking from the heart didn’t make you feel as if your gonna pass out
If only speaking your name did not make me shake in my shoes as if there was a localized earthquake
If only…
If only……
If only………
