Something to Give

Freestyle poem from past experiences.

My heart has your name engraved,

but your actions only put me to shame,

I give my all and yet nothing works,

I try hard not to fall but I've fallen deep,

sometimes I wonder how you could even sleep,

I look at you and I see perfection,

a few flaws but they don't get my attention,

I hope one day you look at me the same,

a handful of love that is in vain,

I need you more than you need me,

I just wish there was something out there that could set me free.
