Ways of the Everlasting

Ways of the Everlasting

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

In the waves of a winding soul,

the creature of life surrounds you.

Cold, it beguiles those

who step through the threshold

to lose it.

It hovers still,

reflecting its rays

on heavy wanderers,

such fleshy details,

to the honesty bound in

glue and string,

that in the wake of its ghost

we hesitate,
with such distain that we must

never wait for, with wearing

diligance, we refrain with what remains,

For in the temptresses of all that we reach for,

this destiny of fate we long for,

wait upon, rest

until our eyes grow old of our homes,

and grow new,

to the ways of the everlasting.

I'm just another person. Just like you; my art the object of knowledge in understanding who I am and how I am. And that, simply, is enough about me. more..
