Unbottled Slander

Unbottled Slander

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

I feel I've wasted all time

here

in the broken rivers,

streaming with

whiskey and loose hand grenades,

waiting,

to be dropped, but I will

tell it to you now:

this life's not over

unless you plan to give up now.

wasted on such breath, these beams

you gave and took down,

seem to warrant me, a dream I see,

of never looking around.

cuz you take.

my.

heart.

away,

you took it away,

and when all I had was the best to say,

you just came

to rip it from me

and this is what hurts,

the lies from the truth,

you've taken me out

when I thought I couldn't lose,

now you're throwing me out,

but the streets are loud,

I can't hear you.....

speak up, no

no....

please don't let it out.
