The Dullard's Hymn

The Dullard's Hymn

A Poem by Kristine Ferg
"

Sometimes we ourselves forget we are the ones at fault. Then we condemn ourselves to stupidity.

"
A time was lost and fought on
by the moment in his eye.
There I dare look on moreover, I
stare him right on by behind;
behind the trespass sign she wore.

he was no fair-haired wonder,
no simple grace,
but his choices ran through dark blood.
be they choices he made or choices mine,
it's only we who never understood.

So very right. This is an insightful projection. People do forget--probably a great deal--to make themselves accountable for what they perceive is happening to them. I've enjoyed the read.
