Bloody As the Day I Found Affection In You

Bloody As the Day I Found Affection In You

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

I wake up to this world

with my mind on affection---

lost in the naivety of long-begotten dreams

of setting roses, sweet, by the bushels,

thorn-ed in my skin

by the delicate touch

of affection.

sweet, bound affection.

do you know it well?

would you cut apart the seams

of you and me?

paste them, love,

in parallel corridors

shaped to concubines

who love to settle down

with a baroness-- me....

I shuffle feet.

You stand attention with no bow,

and yet I curtsey your way

hoping in joyous dismay

for sweet

affection....

About
I'm just another person. Just like you; my art the object of knowledge in understanding who I am and how I am. And that, simply, is enough about me. more..
