Life Didn't Listen to Me

Life Didn't Listen to Me

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

the timbers cry beyond the day,
he rages in birdcages with subtle
fortitude,

magic, hide my soul,
poison my senses to make me un-see
the pain this would can relieve.

such hatred, and fear,
the world will never rest,
hacking at both our backs until
we both are stopped dead.

but I won't let you stand alone!
I'll help you through,
it's gonna be okay
give your pain away!
give all of it to me, please
I'd rather have your sorrow
then to see you fall through.

but the world,
how it ignores me,
shreds every paper, every memory
I wanted.

When can we have what we want?
when can we live
to feel real love?

this world seems like a hard edge,
like we're about to slip off the road
but I won't let you falter,
I won't let you drown
because I'll save all that for me.

and for your protection,
you'd never know
I wanted you to stay away,
but now that you are,
and you and you and you,

I'm a girl with your problems,
a boy with your cares,
but remember:
Just stay away from me here.

About
I'm just another person. Just like you; my art the object of knowledge in understanding who I am and how I am. And that, simply, is enough about me. more..
