Carry On the Family Name

Carry On the Family Name

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

feel the need,
feel the want wash over me,
feel the hunger;
feel the strife.

for all I know is lost, this living life
is gone into
and I know that every breath I take
will send me into sin

so keep the pain away!
Sent it far below our people
let them know of such the tasks at hand
and know that i'm afraid
to go alone.

and when my master summons me
what will I say to
his call?
how will I wake another day
when all I want is
to
stay home?
oh, oh

oh.....
this journey lasts for ages....
in peaks and valleys,
how can one live inside a whole
when there's so much around them?

and I'm
not too afraid.
to stand up really tall.
and face the hand with viewing mirrors---
I'm killing me

am I killing me?

so feel me needing you.
feel me wanting all your pain.
feel me hunger for your heavy heart
that just wants to be sane!

feel my apologies unending,
feel my love and not my hate,
feel how hard it is, so empty,

and feel that love
is never...
just one day.

About
I'm just another person. Just like you; my art the object of knowledge in understanding who I am and how I am. And that, simply, is enough about me. more..
