Distant Shore's Reprieve

Distant Shore's Reprieve

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

The path,
it crumbles.
time;
wastes its
integrity, mildly sharing in a new song
awaiting in the wings

It gleams as foretold,
broken-hearted with sunrise and laughter
knowing fog in the distance reigns clear.

The path, it so turns on itself then;
wondering when it will
reappear.
when will it show its strength,
its strife?

such tender bricks do fall from its way,
cracking and breaking with sway.
unsure of the damage, the prisoners rot,
hoping that no one
forgot them.

About
I'm just another person. Just like you; my art the object of knowledge in understanding who I am and how I am. And that, simply, is enough about me. more..
