Posting From a Podium: Last Glance noticed

A Poem by Kristine Ferg

Hands holding back while the president stands,
clapping loudly as he takes it.

Listen.
That his intention----
crawled, before it
walked, talked
beguiled you.

ever
for f**k's sake
have you gotten the clue?
for f**k's sake
do you feel so broken too?
for this stake
leading back to your heart,
I'm praying both
of us shall let it fall a-part.

and when you find the dream
that's not now blinding me
I'm hoping you will see
the better side;
where the walls snuff up the paperbacks,
and the hearts are melted black
like the world you harvest to.

but even now,
I don't believe in chances,
bleeding open spines,
your fluid, not mine,
never mine, never mine,
never mind.......

so for your sake,
would you start over new?
its all for you,
I'm hoping, just wishing

once.
twice,
thrice a'more,
but yet you never seem to see
the good in you.

I'm just another person. Just like you; my art the object of knowledge in understanding who I am and how I am. And that, simply, is enough about me. more..
