TensionA Poem by Kristine FergBeen a while.
Heavy as a burden,
Your gaze and stout of man Paves way for all who follow you, All who wait in by the hour, Just in hands that wish to sour All your farrowed dreams and feared Ones that rip riches from our hands! It is you the burning anguish, You the rusted dock, The only one to service love Yet you bear the left-handed gun, Yes, you bear the damn-ed gun.
