This PlaceA Poem by SilenttheseyearsI had to leave my home behind, I was running from an abusive relationship and he kept the house. I miss that house and the land every day. I just wrote this from the heart.Maybe they won't see me A ghost running up the path Looking for something I want back It's so cold now here I remember when we lit the fire Your heart was warmer then It's so empty now So why do I keep running back? Be strong, let go, move on So you found another place But all I want is to sit here awhile On the bed with the sunset at the window listening to the wind and the trees If I could switch my heart off Like a light How easy it would be to forget this place
