Deeming question

Deeming question

A Story by Silentium
"

Today I was asked a question...

"
Today I was asked a question. One that may seem so simple to others but sent me into deep thoughts. The start of my self-questioning was three words with strong meaning,
"Who are you?"
"Masen," I replied.
"That's your name, it's not who YOU are."
Thinking more widely of their question, I began listing.
"Independent, strong, reliable...."
"That's a definition of your character, it's still not who you are."
"What's the difference?" I asked more confused than ever.
They didn't answer my question or give any examples, they just said, "Well, you have  a lot of work to do."
I was left to think of who I was, something I thought I had already known but upon realization... something I was near clueless about.

About
I've always enjoyed writing but just got into letting others read my work. I think I'm not very good, but I've always been told to let other's be the judge of that. I mostly enjoy writing about Fantas.. more..
