Life is Hell (Happiness & Love)

Life is Hell (Happiness & Love)

A Poem by SilentWinter
"

Life has been a Living Hell, and it’s my fault. I weep inside but never tell, why talk. I no longer am pure, my innocents lost. If I could, I’d go back, no matter the cost. People look, they make fun

"

Life has been a Living Hell, and it’s my fault.

I weep inside but never tell, why talk.

I no longer am pure, my innocents lost.

If I could, I’d go back, no matter the cost.

People look, they make fun of me.

They judge my soul like I’m some kind of freak.

Stare not at my eyes, but the mark of the beast.

...I see what they do, I hear how they speak.

My courage is shot, I have no more pride.

My outside in no way reflects what’s inside.

I wish only to Love, like Lovers do.

But cannot make friends, its sad, but true.

My Ego destroyed me, and ruined my life.

Depression creeps on me like wintry nights.

I stay home a drink in a desolate place.

Away from the world, alone with my fate.

I once had it all, -Happiness & Love-

I stood back and watched as it slowly dissolved.

Life has been a Living Hell, and it’s my fault.

I weep inside but never tell..

     Why talk about it anymore.

The first and the last paragraphs are very true and moving. We fail to realize the importance of a person, emotion or object until it has been taken away from us never to return back. We realize our mistakes only after the time for undoing it has slipped past us. I do not know if the poet of the poem above has undergone the cycle described in the poem but none the less the poem brings out the essence of our mistakes, ignorance towards them, our gradual fall, self-realization and finally tons of regret.
