Winter's AffairA Poem by Silent Wisperer
When you have time to just think in the darkness, things really start to sink in. The person you fell for well never be yours. That feeling of completion is like the last bit of vodka in the bottle, you're only left with memories of the beautiful time that passed just wishing there would be more so the feeling can continue. Footfalls echo in the memory of the temporary euphoric paralysis that swept you away from reality. You realize you've fallen hard on borrowed time. That person that temporary completes you has to go back to his own. You start to enjoy that complete feeling only to have it broken apart. You enjoy the dance until the last note has sounded. You slowly retreat to the safety of your bottle and tears as the conductor drops his baton and bows signaling the end of your dance. The end of your bliss. The end of the happiness. Just to be shrouded in darkness.
