Mask

Mask

A Poem by Chantee

Can't you tell.
no.
maybe its because I hide so well
features freezing and molding
turning into something you'll believe
hatred runs through my veins
i cant stand doing this over and over
i wish i could break this cycle
throw away this ever present mask.
consuming me from within
controlling what i cant.
I wish i could stop,
I just don't have the strength.
Maybe
one day
you can break through this mask
and save me from myself.
