A Poem by Chantee

Rivers flow silently, making no sound

Yet you hear every word

you sense every feeling.

Reflections glaring at you, no words.

Right through you as if softly speaking,

Telling you what you’re doing wrong.

Everything blending together,

but its all too clear.

The river flows into you, building under the surface.

the whispers becoming screams.

How much longer until the dam you’ve built

burst and lets the scream out.
