You say You're Not

You say You're Not

A Poem by Chantee
"

wrote this in elementary school, like 5th grade, after my dad left.

"

You say you’re not,

but you’ve become what you dread.

You act as if you’re flipping a coin

what to do and what not to do.

You say you’re not that person.

It’s what you were taught;

why you do what you do,

say what you say.

deny all you want,

but that won’t ever change who you are.
