Suffocating

Suffocating

A Poem by Beautiful Mistake

B R E A T H E
Slow down and catch your breath
Standing still as everything races by
We're all running the marathon of life
Going on and on looking for the end
Everything around us is just a blur
Then it's all over before you know it
You'll never see your progress if you look back
Face front, move forward
Head towards the sky let the stars lead you
Pause, relax, and find your truth
Just breath

I really like how the beginning of your poem also slows you down which is quite appropriate. I also really love the line, "the marathon of life".
