That One Mistake

That One Mistake

A Poem by Beautiful Mistake

Put in a corner stuffed in a box

Left with silence and my own thoughts

Pondering why I took the wrong road

Why I let you be the voice on my shoulder

A devil dressed like an angel

Neither friend nor foe your emotions change like the wind blows

You stole my voice turned me into a mime

Stole the color in my life now my world is black and white

Though you have stolen so much locked my soul away

Left me nothing but a empty shell of what was once me

Now what am I another victim of that one mistake

Ii feel like this poem could be about abuse and how it sucks the life out of you. I have made many mistakes in my life and I sometimes feel like an empty shell of my former self.
