A Poem about life as a book page

LIFE IS LIKE A BOOK PAGE

A Clean Page is created

It is splatter with all the happiness

With memories of laughter,

Tears & joy

And the moment you lost someone or something precious

The page is worn out with Tears & Questions

 

A Clean Page is created again

As enter you enter your teen and young adult years

Having a first shot at love

Thinking is it meant to be or not meant to be

And the moment you found out he’s not the one

The page began to worn out with regrets & false love

 

Another clean page is created

Filled it with lost love, lost hope and lost dreams

Still trying on that road of life to get there

But the moment you hear bad compliment, bad words that break you down

The page began worn with my pen ink across every hope you’ve   written

 

Afraid to turn another clean page

Cuz all my life… I created new pages

But they end been worn out or ink strike across every word.

Slowly I started to turn another page

And on this page ,  slowly I try to write

Of hopes, love and affection

But along the way

I have cross out numerous things

Like love, bad comments, tears and joy

And that’s when I realize life is not perfect

It’s like a book Page

Slowly created

Continuously edited and marked up

But that’s life creating good memories and erasing what do not belong there anymore!
