The Good and The GrayA Poem by MadelineAll they talk about is the good and the bad, The black and the white, The saint and the sinner. But it seems to me, that no one speaks of the in-between. The some-what good and the gray. That uncharted rabbit hole of uncertainty That either makes you comfortably mad or madly comfortable. There comes a point in every person's life where they must choose. They must choose to go left or right, Or to stay in the middle. It seems, however, once one chooses middle, It is like a labyrinth, an inescapable maze of doubt. When from up above, It is so clear to what is right and wrong. But being in the midst of it, You almost never can tell. You see the sun and the darkness, But what about the shadow? © 2015 MadelineFeatured Review
