though gone the mask darkness has donned a guise held fast cements its bond deception’s art within a smile meant to trap ~ consume, beguile though leery, find resolve will slip light withers, into shadows dip dull morning comes, your will took flight in sunken eyes beyond foresight glimpse in the mirror’s crack, a sneer tissue of conscious darkness clear
