Murder My Heart
~by Zanno

Murder my heart with silence
Drown my soul with sadness
Numb my mind with wine
Cover my body in tears

Embrace my heart with love
Speak to my soul with passion
Share theese thoughts with me
Hold me in your arms forever

Murder my heart with regret
Cry for my soul in secret
Clear my mind of thoughts
Cover my body with kisses

Handle my heart with caution
Handle my heart with care
I accept you for who you are
With arms and mind wide open

The lines that stood out for me were:

Drown my soul with sadness
…Cover my body in tears

And my response:

in silence… (Submersion)

A wade in the shallows of memory
gives instance, longing immersion
in silence… adrift and buoyant

For therein, a peaceful exhaling…
a trembling gone quite unnoticed
emanates, rippling the surface

And lo, glimpse a face in repose…
hearing nothing, e’en whispers of gray
A solace found in submersion

this is such a style... of semi-darkness what you write......I felt like being a part of a dream and being wrapped into dark shaddow and immobile emotions....they just were heavy sitting on my chest...in fact, they sat deep in my heart concave. loved it.
