She discovered it, 'it' was her

She discovered it, 'it' was her

A Poem by Siena - Silent Awakenings.
"

He left her, you know. Not because he really had a choice though, but because of his prison sentence... his violence took over sometimes and when it did... her tears could never quite let her sleep.

"
The outline, of the old boxes you left behind.
Nothing          Nothing           Nothing
   Then Something
Out of the blue, something spectacular... but it wasn't you
No, this time it was unique, something you never were.

This time it stood out from the boxes, the lines the walls, the door.
This time I think I believed in it more
Nope, it wasn't love... nor was it destiny.
It wasn't actually anything particular.
Nothing       Nothing      Nothing
In particular

yeah.
me
After all this time you've filled, with the silence... I think I've grown to know myself more without the violence.
Grown to actually know what I want
what I need
and who I am. "And I'm not now in your league."

there appears to be pain within the retrospection of this poem's speaker.:
"This time I think I believed in it more
Nope, it wasn't love... nor was it destiny.
It wasn't actually anything particular.
Nothing Nothing Nothing
In particular"
upon second take, the absence of anything in particular should not automatically confuse the issue toward a moment of less than stellar experience. perhaps the absence of anything made the moment all the more enriching. either way, good poem.
