Do You See Me Now?

Do You See Me Now?

A Poem by Silent Angel

What a curse

Descends upon me now

So very terse

But you take a bow

And in my fate

I have to trust

This curse of hate

Brings on just

For I have searched

Looking for heart

Beneath words perched

A certain art

I cannot master

This art of hate

I can run faster

But it’s almost too late

This curse upon me

Ties me down

Who are you to be?

But a lonely clown?

Perhaps in my haste

I have spoken to fast

But emotions are waste

And reality is the past

To live in your life

Of ignorance with bliss

Ignoring the strife

Something I miss

For I would give all

To be ignorant now

Without a friend to call

No promises to vow

Yet this curse upon me

Keeps me here

I wish for you to see

But it only brings on fear

So I lay awake in dark

Eyes open in my sleep

Until myths of angels hark

And death itself does reap
