Silent Angels Whisper * Part II: Smotri Na Menya (See me) - Chapter 7

A Chapter by Silent Angel

“So, let me get this straight. There is a blind ninja killer who works for the scientist, looking for us?” Tod asked, staring at Lune as if he was crazy

“Yep, pretty much.” Lune responded simply, ignoring how insane it sounded

“Blind?” Tod asked

“Yeah, he can’t see a thing.”

“Ninja?” Tod asked

“He’s trained in the marshal arts.” Lune explained

“Killer?” Tod asked

“He wants to kill us.” Lune said simply

“Oh, well this is no big deal! We can so handle that!” Tod exclaimed

“Tod, its way more complicated than that and you know it.” Lune sighed, shaking his head.

“No, it really isn’t. It’s about as complicated as a piece of paper. Let’s go to bed.” Tod sneered, his mood suddenly changing.

“Engel, I’m really good but I can’t go to sleep. Will you help me?” Shavi asked when she cracked open the door to the boys room where the conference was being held.

“Of course sweetie.” I said, giving one last look to the guys before going back into the girl’s room.

“What do you want me to do?” I asked, sitting on Shavi’s after tucking her back in.

“Sing me a song in German?” Shavi asked, smiling

“Sure.” I agreed before beginning.

“Silva in lumine

Lunae arcane est

Domus mea

Silva in lumine

Stellarum est.”

I sang to her in the silence of the room. She smiled at me and suddenly frowned as she figured out she didn’t understand the words and what the meant.

“What exactly does that mean?” Shavi asked after contemplating it for a second.

“It means ‘The forest in the moonlight is concealed. My home is hidden in the moonlight, in the mystic starlight.’” I explained

“Wow, really? Is that an actual song?” Shavi whispered back

“Yes, it’s actually called ‘Das Tier in Mir’ by E Nomine.” I answered in whispered

“Stellarum est. In the mystic starlight.” Shavi whispered, smiling as she thought about it.

“Do you know who that reminds me of?” I asked her

“No, who?” Shavi asked in return

“You, because of the mystic starlight.” I answered.

“Really?”

“Yes, now get some sleep. Who knows how tomorrow’s gonna be.” I replied

She nodded and rolled over, closing her eyes as she began to dream about mystic starlight. Or mad scientists. Take your pick.

well i seem o have a knack to point out things that have to do with german. the song isn`t song in german (well maybe but then more like ancient german) it seems more like latin. the title really is plain normal german. thanks for writing this chapter.
