Mercy Comes With the MorningA Poem by Silent AngelMercy Comes With the Morning And to think That after all this time It would be you to fall into the light While I slip unknowingly into the darkness It would be your soul, One the glides upon the precipices of life In other dimensions not a part of reality, That would step backward and find the road into the sun That after all this time It would be me to fall into the darkness That my soul would hurl itself Throwing myself off the edge into the unknown Falling endlessly with no ground in sight. That I would ever step outside the careful fences Constructed by myself for my safety That my soul, Confined by protection and Standing outside any realm of existence, Would take the chance to jump That after all this time You would look back at the light, The light that I craved for, And would regret ever finding it; Would regret ever following it While I, With the wind in my face and the darkness all around Would take the time to light a candle So that my falling would become flying And heart pounding, I would finally see © 2013 Silent Angel |
