Dear Baby

Dear Baby

A Poem by Kandii

    We’re playing the guessing game
Of who you’ll be
A boy or girl
A mystery to me
My minds made up
That you a boy
dump trucks and hammers
Those are your toys
Daddy thinks you’re a girl
Why?
We’ll never know
Barbie dolls and ponytails
Oh god, here we go
But either way I’ll love you
However you come into the world.
Just promise me you’ll be healthy
I’m sure I’ll cry
On that special day
When you arrive.
