Black Spider

Black Spider

A Poem by Silas

Black spider crawling on my wall,

Black spider where have you fallen?

What great beast has captured us,

And is feeding us to lies,

Like the webs of the great spider so dark.

The web of lies was not spun by her,

But by us.

Our world has created this web of lies with none so innocent,

And now we have created a monsterous creature,

Which pumps this world full of its venom,

So poisonous to our escaping mind as we now drift to sleep,

Poisoned and beaten.

Perfect example of why I hate spiders...(kidding)...very good job conveying a feeling of a deep and ominous presence approaching...well done
