My Lullaby (The End)

My Lullaby (The End)

A Poem by Silas

The end is my lullaby.

Soft and beautiful,

as its meaning.

It washes over me as i sleep,

Creating an aura of essence it brings as i listen.

The end is to me what I believe in,

To pass from this place to the wonderful garden,

It has so willingly promised.

As the end draws to a conclusion,

Leaving its message to my waking mind,

I slip easily from this gallery of faces and ripped pictures,

That once were supreame,

Into a sleep so peacefully,

It could be the end.

This poem seems very intruiging, and makes me wonder what it's about. The flow is great, and it seems very soft and soothing…

There are a few typos though. It's "aura" (unless you meant the aurora) and "essence" in the 5th line, "wonderful" in the 7th, "supreme" in the 12th, and "peacefully" in the last. There's a small one in the title too.

Other than those tiny things, it's brilliant.

Should the end be sleep then its lullaby is the gateway indeed to things beyond our waking consciousness. There is a depth in this poem that I have yet to fathom. TFS.
