My Loving GrandpaA Poem by AnushreeI have never had the opportunity to witness the love shared by a grandfather with his granddaughter. So here is a poem wishing i could!I wish I had a grandpa like all my friends, Of dragons and knights who’d tell me tales.
We’d read,we’d talk,we’d laugh all day long, He’d let me rock on his chair while we sang a song.
I’d hold his hand and walk at a leisurely pace, Or I’d point to a tree and ask him to race.
He’d take me for a drive in his old and battered car, Although it was fun,yet the car wouldn’t go far.
Then he’d buy me sweets and ice-creams for sure, And would never get mad if I asked for more.
Alas! these are only but wishes tall, For I can behold him only by the portrait on the wall.
I love you Grandpa,my heart cries for you, Now that you are an angel, please make my wish come true.
