A Poem by Silmara McGarry

She waited for him that afternoon,

heart galloping lively just with the thought of his eyes in hers;

or the firm hands holding her pleasantly, letting her know the euphoria of fulfilment

She looks around fascinated with the vast field of yellow bitsy flowers, with delicate purple stigmas

Blooming daises in the all-colourful gardens of calmness, kissing serene sounds of the crystal waters;

Subtle wind spinning between the flowers and her lustrous hair,

under the radiance of the celestial sun that composed the sharp blue of the sky as if in another planet

She lays down on the beds of flowers spread and there she stayed, until a deep sleep drove her to dreams beyond her reach that day

She hears an instinctive jingle, and in the middle of the field a unique antique white door;

she does not want to leave the harmonious place, also he has not yet arrived;

but or if he is behind that door?

She decides to open it…..

Only to see herself sleeping under the old red oak tree in the California valley

Your poem is a beautiful and vividly descriptive piece that captures the essence of nature and the emotions that it can evoke. The imagery you use is breathtaking and transports the reader to a serene and peaceful place where they can connect with the beauty of the natural world. The way you write about the character's emotions and their anticipation for the arrival of their loved one is particularly moving, and the ending is a surprising twist that adds an extra layer of depth to the poem. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your poem and was left feeling inspired and uplifted. Keep up the great work!

Oooh Silmara my dear friend how delicately and deeply you have touched my heart's loneliest most needful yearning tears that ache for love for a lover true like this one that is perfectly yours, I can feel myself laying amidst those beautiful flowers too waiting for him to walk through that door and take me into his strong energizing arms, I feel my breath quickened in the thought.
Your words and metaphors sing a song lovelier and more tenderly passionate than I can hardly bear, thank you for sharing your soul's beauty and that amazing picture of the tree heart and gorgeous birds, how you perfectly matched your poem's and the love birds' color too. I hope he came to you and made wondrous love in the California Valley under the old red oak tree -- thank you with my love.🤗

HUGGS!

Daydreaming in a place of beauty....dreaming of the touch of a handsome lover and also revelling in the embrace of the beauty that surrounds her. A gorgeous picture you have attached here, and your words cascade with lovely description that alludes very well to the dreamlike quality of your theme. I got a slight touch of 'Alice In Wonderland' from this write, too! A very soothing read, Silmara. 🌹

Oh I so love the photo and the heart shaped! perfectly along your imaginative journey, if I'm not mistaken your ending suggest that she was only dreaming and imagining a lover whom wasn't even there in the first place, but at the same time... I see that she is still in her peaceful world even that she opened that door to not see him, but herself, she met herself instead of him, so maybe it's a message for her to begin loving herself before anyone else.

Did you mean leave the harmonious place?

This has all the earmarks of a dream that can end in harmony or something more ominous if one thinks long enough. However I get a good feeling from this one.

Nice writing, Silmara. You paint a nice colorful picture in this one. :)
