The Dreams Visit

The dreams never fail to visit me
Each time something strikes the place
Where you once were.

I wait in the night each time,
Daring not fall asleep,
Knowing that my heart shall be shattered
When I awake in the morn.

Only when I have no control does it happen;
The dreams playing with freedom in my mind
When my sub-conscious is let loose while I’m asleep.
Always, my heart feels like lead in the morn.
Always, my sub-conscious betrays me.

The dreams never fail to visit me
Each time something strikes the place
Where you once were.

Every time something very related to a certain someone happens, I'll dream about this person. Every single time. I didn't really do much editing to this one…

Dreams are a very good provider of thoughts and words to go with them. You are good at expressing that. Sometimes I am in control of my dreams and other times I am just along for the ride. Nice writing.
