existence unquestioned?

existence unquestioned?

A Poem by Joshua Smit
"

a reflection on how we neglect to question who we are as a human race...

"
lost to existence we follow the path,
 our very purpose goes unquestioned
and each day our hearts cry out to our minds,
their plea is to be known,

their deep desire is to be heard,
but we go on, with our existence unquestioned,
 not knowing who we are.

Trapped in a pointless
 and empty circle
 of repetitive tasks
and our existence defined by our jobs,

lost to ourselves
we are unable to see a way out,
 and blinded by our greed
and desire to observe the status quo
we do not see the simple fact
 that existence unquestioned
 is existence not there
 and life without purpose
 is not life at all...

Good, however, I think you ought to write it in a poetic manner.

beautiful, though i would like to see it arranged better, thats just my personal opinion on how you displayed the work. Either way beautiful work and amazing question on existence. This is the only thought that has kept me up at night and made me stop from doing my day to day activities. Just remember that EVERYTHING DESERVES A WHY, and when you know why it exists or why it happens then your halfway through to another question because life is just one big question waiting to be answered differently by everyone.

This actually made me stop to think for a while. Good work.

Setting the premise and frame work is a good start, but there's an old saying, "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink."
the awakening, the enlightenment, the taking responsibility and the hard action of making the right choice.
The power of choice and the power to create change is still with in all of us. the question is, are we dedicated enough to last as long as it takes and do we believe it's important enough to do?
