After Loss of Soul

After Loss of Soul

A Poem by Sierra Erway

We have lost someone in one of the worst ways one could be lost... for there is no release... No end to it.. No rest... Instead, my dear, you are trapped here in a mortal vessel, suffering and in pain... My dear, you've been drained of all you had left inside you... There's no more fight, is there? Let me listen...
Mhm... I hear all the broken bits of your heart, beating all at once, scattered and embedded sporadically throughout your chest... They echo so loud, I'm surprised your shell hasn't shattered... All those little pieces are the only thing keeping you alive, if that word can even be used here...
My dear, you are so empty... So broken... I can see in your skin, in the traces of your veins, how worn down you are...
My once sweet, sweet girl
Struck silent by your own secret, internal Hell...
How do we fix you?
Please,
I beg you,
Tell me,
Where can I find my angel's wings?
