In 15 Minutes

In 15 Minutes

A Poem by Sierra Erway

For the last fifteen minutes, what can I do?

All I do is think about you...

Your hair, your skin, your eyes, your smile

All make me safe... just for a little while...

Always running around in my head-

knowing I can't have you... wishing I was dead.

Now five minutes have gone by,

These thoughts of you are making me cry...

Every memory that we share

helps to remind me- someone sort of cares!

I watch you play, listen to you talk

And I look like an idiot when all I can do is gawk.

Wishing away this dreadful day,

wishing you could take all my pain away.

Five minutes left, what can I do?

I've gotta stop thinking of you...

I'll pack up my things

And head out the door

...still thinking of you...

Forevermore...
