Lost in My Head

Lost in My Head

A Poem by Sierra Erway

I am lost inside my head...

Wandering aimlessly around my surreal thoughts...

Swimming through the dark depths of my conciousness.

Trying to find a way out...

Or maybe a way to let light in...

A constant, heavy fog is settled in my mind;

Clouding my memories and judgements...

The edge of my sanity is razor sharp,

Slicing me as I struggle to hold it in place...

Emotions flying around AWOL

Rapidly changing and sending jolts of agony

Through my body.

Always.

I'm not only lost inside my head,

I am trapped here...

Trying to fix the broken dreams I know I cannot recover...

Your thoughts are expressed... and yet the divide is not letting you go in the lines... as a reader the verse leaves one without much hope... and the end lines add more to the fire of this write:

I'm not only lost inside my head,
I am trapped here...
Trying to fix the broken dreams I know I cannot recover...

I did see one area of concern:

A constant, heavy fog is settled in my mind;
Clouding my memories and judgements...

A constant, heavy fog is settled in my mind;
Clouding my memories and judgments...
