Broken

Broken

A Poem by Sierra Erway

Breaking off every bit of my life.

Into chips, like glass, on the floor.

Sharp. And small. Worthless.

But they bring so much pain.

And as I break, I expose myself.

For what I really am...

A monster.

A heart that's too big.

Spilling out unwanted emotion.

Eyes too small;

Too small to see the truth and reality.

A monster that

cries.

Cries her pain

out of her veins.

Onto the pieces of life

that have been broken off...

onto the floor...
