Again

Again

A Poem by Sierra Erway

I've been living in this little hole.

Now i'm crawling out and taking control.

Digging my nails into the dirt,

escaping my prison beneath the earth.

I see you waiting at the top,

I reach for you to help me up.

We stretch our hands until we touch,

giving me strength to get out.

Higher and higher,

i'm almost out;

But something's changed and it doesn't feel right...

I look in your eyes to find some assurance,

but I feel your grip slipping, you're letting me go.

Now i'm falling, trying to hold on.

But you push me down to the darkness again.

I'm grabbing and reaching,

screaming and falling,

back down into my hole...

I don't see your shadow at the top anymore,

you left me...

Without a goodbye...

It starts as though you are held in the clutches of a bad dream. (nightmare) Then it falls into place as being a loss of love and brokenhearted. At least that's my take..Anyway, I enjoyed it.
