Puppet

Puppet

A Poem by Sierra Erway
"

- This one's about how I generally felt while living with my mother and her boyfriend.-

"

I am the puppet.

You are the master.

You twist me,

push me,

pull me.

I am helpless.

I do as you say,

as soon as you say it.

I try to escape,

but the strings won't break.

They believe the lies you tell,

the lies you make me say.

They have no idea.

They are blind to what is here.

The show they all watch.

Day after day,

and days after that,

the lies keep spreading.

The show goes on.

Someday i'll tell the world

that it was all an act.

The reality of it all is so much different.

But, for now,

you stay in control...
