Eyes

Eyes

A Poem by Sierra Erway

When you look at me,

I look back.

Your eyes so beautiful and dark.

Mysterious.

Perfect for hiding secrets.

I wish to live in your eyes.

I'd never have to be ashamed again.

I could hide away,

with my secrets and shame.

Keep them safe and hidden,

in your eyes.

I wish to live in your eyes,

so I could see the world how you see it.

Feel the pain you're feeling.

I know you hurt,

I see it.

In your dark,

mysterious eyes.

I'm breaking the barrier.

I see it all.

The real you.

In your eyes...

I'll pull them out,

and sneak inside.

Behind your eyes.

Then,

when you look at me,

you can look at yourself.
