Moon

Moon

A Poem by Sierra Erway

To the moon, I tied a string.

It's such a pretty little thing.

Hoping it will come on down,

to turn around my lonely frown.

Setting deep inside my heart,

Picking all of me apart.

Shining down on me so bright,

It's blinding light had taken my sight.

Now with the moon tied to this string,

I can softly start to sing.

I really love the wistfulness of this piece; though simplistic, you manage to convey quite a lot with only a few lines of text. I especially love the way that you managed to round the piece together with the last stanza echoing the first - a very well written and lovely feeling piece. Bravo.
