Evening Breaths.

Evening Breaths.

A Poem by Sierra Erway

As evening breaths are taken,

the world comes crashing down.

Hearts are breaking,

Tears are streaming,

Screams are being let out.

Hands combine,

Time unwinds,

Leaving us in oblivion.

Chaos everywhere,

Everyone's lost,

No sense of time in existence.

As evening breaths are taken,

the world comes crashing down.

One breath in,

everything slows.

One breath out,

faster it goes.

Trees are burning,

Buildings falling,

People running scared.

No order left in this crazy life;

If life is even it.

Even the ink upon this page

could disappear in a moment.

A breath too deep could do us in,

But a breath too shallow will do worse.

As evening breaths are taken,

People start to die.

Everyone is going,

without a chance to say goodbye.

As evening breaths are taken,

You are in control.

As evening breaths are taken,

the world comes crashing down.
