The Girl

The Girl

A Poem by Sierra Erway

I know this girl,

who knows only pain.

With bruises and scars,

and cuts near her veins.

Her eyes show only the hurt

she hides in her heart.

Her aching, broken

slow beating heart.

Everyday she hopes for death,

and locks herself away.

Inside her mind that tortures her,

with every bad memory, up to this day.

Her parents don't like her,

she has very few friends.

Her grades are all failing,

and her will is growing weak.

Everyday I see her,

standing all alone.

Waiting for an answer?

For someone to give her hope?

I know this girl

who knows only pain.

With bruises and scars

and cuts enar her veins.

She hurts herself

to stay alive.

The pain makes her sanity

thrive.

And in the mirror, she stands and stares.

For hours until she burts into tears.

Everyday, she's growing weak.

And now i'll tell you,

This girl, is me.
