Where Are You?

Where Are You?

A Poem by Sierra Erway

Where are you?

Gone.

Your eyes; don't shine.

Your skin; pale.

Your lips; chapped and faded.

And you do not speak.

No longer is the air filled with your laughter.

Your touch; weak.

When you do utter words, they are distant.

I can't understand their meaning.

All day long, I watch.

As you stumble through each passing hour.

Time is your enemy.

Your beauty; disappearing.

I wish i could freeze you in time.

Change is scary.

Your scars; don't heal.

your tears; don't dry.

Darkness taking over.

Sadness close behind.

And all I can say is

"Where are you?"
