The Flower

The Flower

A Poem by Sierra Erway

There once was a flower,

A pretty little flower;

that just couldn't find the strength to bloom.

She was alone and afraid,

left out in the rain.

Unappreciated and down,

She tried to find a way out;

And uprooted herself for a while.

But she came back down,

Even though she frowned;

To satisfy the bees.

They swarmed and they buzzed,

Around what was

Left

of the poor, pretty flower.
