~She's My 5 Minute Cigarette Break~

~She's My 5 Minute Cigarette Break~

A Poem by Sierra

~He treats her, as if she is his 5 minute cigarette break~

He says he's mad but it's not at her,
He promises he needs her, craves her, desires her every minute of the day.
With the flick of the finger, he lights her up and makes her feel happy and whole.
He slowly inhales her happiness with each inhale he takes of her.
He exhales fire back at her, spitting hateful words, throwing punches.

He forgets to flick his wrist, as her ashes keep falling to the ground.
He inhales her last bit of happiness before throwing her to the ground, stomping on her with the bottom of his heel and walking away.
Letting her lay there on the ground completely and utterly crushed
As he moves on to his next cigarette.

This is not about my current relationship, I saw something relatively close to it and got inspired to write a little more about it.

This was a very enjoyable, powerful piece, plip. The clear, concise meaning of the metaphor, along with great imagery, makes it quite an enjoyable read.
