ChainsA Poem by Sierra Christine
I lie in bed wide awake thinking of you until day break.
You're fast asleep but when you wake you'll think of her and her smiling face. She's un aware of the pain she causes him, every day. It's enough to make a man go insane. Hope binds you to this pain. You hope one day he will be yours. But you know deep down he never will be. This hope is like chains. This hope drags you down, it makes it so you can't escape. She'll sit there and smile again at him, renewing his hope. He'll smile at me, renewing my hope. I know deep down we'll never be, But hope is stronger than me. © 2014 Sierra ChristineAuthor's Note

Note that my poetry isn't elegant and you don't have to think hard about it. I'm very straight forward and get to the point. Mos.. more..Writing
