Borrowed TimeA Poem by Sierra Neryshigh school romance. hmmmmmmmm....A classroom full of children, chatting, laughing, smiling. The bell has yet to ring, and this time is still their own. I sit quietly, as the words swirl around me, because for me, this time is not my own. This time is yours, though you are unaware of it. During this time, we talk and laugh and smile right along with all the others, but we are not part of their group we are separate, together, the two of us. But here, today, this time is empty, because in a classroom full of children, chatting, laughing, smiling, one seat sits empty. Yours. © 2012 Sierra Nerys |
